At G. Madore Landscaping, we sell what we like to call a gardeners dream compost. Sold by the cubic yard, our compost is made from a 50/50 mix of 'greens', aged chicken manure (which is generally considered superior to cow manure due to its higher nutrient content, particularly nitrogen) & organic grass clippings. The mix also includes 'browns', organic yard waste, specifically dry leaves and twigs that are well-composted and screened.
This beautiful mix improves soil structure, enhances fertility, and boosts water retention, making it a valuable resource for landscaping and gardening in CT. Use it before planting, for new or existing lawns, and when preparing garden beds.
Vegetable gardens require nutrient-rich soil to produce bountiful harvests. Ideal for vegetable gardens, providing essential nutrients to ensure the healthy growth and development of vegetable plants. This material can be used as a topdressing, or blend it with the existing soil to enhance fertility.
One yard covers ~162 sq. ft. at 2″ depth.
This product is screened using a 1/2" screen. We are not responsible for any material that passes through this screen size.
