At G. Madore Landscaping, we sell what we like to call a gardeners dream fertilizer. a bulk compost lawn & garden mix by the yard that is made from a 50/50 mix of 'greens', aged chicken manure (which is generally considered superior to cow manure due to its higher nutrient content, particularly nitrogen) & organic grass clippings. The mix also includes 'browns', organic yard waste, specifically dry leaves and twigs that are well-composted and screened.
This beautiful mix improves soil structure, enhances fertility, and boosts water retention, making it a valuable resource for landscaping and gardening in CT. Use it before planting, for new or existing lawns, and when preparing garden beds.

Composted lawn & garden mix -nutrient rich
Benefits
One of the key benefits of our mix is its rich nutrient profile. Our blend is formulated to provide plants with essential nutrients without competing for them. A high wood content would lock up the nitrogen content in breaking down the wood fibers, so it is not available to the plants’ roots. The mix contains no undesirable constituents. This product is a great soil supplement for any soil that needs to be improved to grow things.
Using Compost: loosen the top two to three inches of soil and add a three-inch layer of compost on the surface, a few inches away from plant stems and tree trunks. Adding finished compost to your soil: Improves the structure and health of your soil by adding organic matter.
